My Mission as an Artist is...

My art is in essence a reflection of my spiritual journey. I confront my own personal issues of joy, pain, love and despair. It is the warrior spirit that seeks resolution to life's struggles so that peace , harmony , and its evolution can be achieved. It is in this contemplative process that an image or vision will come to mind, and when the idea of a painting is born. My paintings are colorful and often reflect my Catholic upbringing, Mexican culture and passionate nature. I express my ideas from a woman's point of view and understanding. During these struggles, there is often a sense of aloneness, which afflicts us all. It is my hope that the viewer will receive some understanding, feel some sense of kinship, and the realization that we are not alone in our journey.
